Guinness Reduction Dipping Sauce

Servings 1 1/2 cups


  • 2 cups Guinness
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • Olive oil for serving


  • In a medium saucepan, whisk together Guinness and brown sugar over medium heat. Once it begins to bubble, reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until reduced by half. It will take about 60 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature. It will thicken further as it cools.
  • Serve with equal parts olive oil. Place remaining in an airtight container (minus the olive oil) and store in refrigerator.
