In a skillet, melt the butter and oil over medium low heat.
Soak each bagel half in the egg mixture for at least one minute per side. Place the soaked bagel half in the heated skillet and cook until golden, about 2 minutes. Flip and cook the other side for another 1-2 minutes. Repeat with remaining bagels.
