Brownie Batter Swirl:
- 1 tablespoon (12 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 Medjool date pits removed and finely chopped
- 1/2 tablespoon (2 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) tahini
- Pinch sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2-2 tablespoon (7-30 milliliters) almond milk
Smoothie:
- 1/2 cup (120 milliliters) almond milk
- 1 large banana
- 1 packet stevia or 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
- Pinch sea salt
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
- 1 teaspoon chocolate sprinkles for topping
To make the brownie batter:
In a small microwave-safe, bowl, heat the chocolate chips in the microwave in 15 second increments, stirring in-between, until melted and smooth.
Mash in the date using a fork.
Whisk in the cocoa powder, tahini, sea salt, and vanilla extract.
Slowly whisk in the almond milk to create a batter-like consistency.
To make the smoothie:
In a blender, add the almond milk, banana, stevia, salt, vanilla extract, and vanilla bean paste.
Blend until smooth.
Pour the smoothie into a serving glass and swirl in the brownie batter.
Serve immediately topped with sprinkles.
