Ingredients

Brownie Batter Swirl:

  • 1 tablespoon (12 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 Medjool date pits removed and finely chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon (2 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) tahini
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2-2 tablespoon (7-30 milliliters) almond milk

Smoothie:

  • 1/2 cup (120 milliliters) almond milk
  • 1 large banana
  • 1 packet stevia or 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 1 teaspoon chocolate sprinkles for topping

Instructions

To make the brownie batter:

  • In a small microwave-safe, bowl, heat the chocolate chips in the microwave in 15 second increments, stirring in-between, until melted and smooth.
  • Mash in the date using a fork.
  • Whisk in the cocoa powder, tahini, sea salt, and vanilla extract.
  • Slowly whisk in the almond milk to create a batter-like consistency.

To make the smoothie:

  • In a blender, add the almond milk, banana, stevia, salt, vanilla extract, and vanilla bean paste.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Pour the smoothie into a serving glass and swirl in the brownie batter.
  • Serve immediately topped with sprinkles.
