Instructions
Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg.
Toss in the chopped strawberries until well coated in the flour.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, buttermilk, butter, and vanilla. Mix the wet ingredients into the flour mixture until just combined.
Grease heated waffle iron with butter. Add enough batter to fill the iron and cook until golden and heated through the middle. Repeat with remaining batter.
