Ingredients

  • 4 carrots sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 60 grams (2 ounces) butter
  • 60 milliliters (1/4 cup) sparkling water
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley leaves
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the carrot, sugar, butter and sparkling water in a saucepan, covered, over medium heat for 15 minutes, or until the carrot is tender, the liquid has evaporated and the butter and sugar have formed a sticky glaze.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Top with chopped parsley to serve.
